Committed to Christ. Called to Make Disciples. Sent to the Nations.

A band of disciples

Who We Are

We are more than an organisation. We are a people who have responded to the call of Jesus Christ.

We are a band of disciples committed to following Jesus Christ and participating in The Great Commission, to make disciples of all nations.

As an apostolic ministry, sent ones, in Uganda, we are part of a growing family of disciples and churches within Uganda and across the nations. Our apostolic ministry in Uganda stretches into Central, South, East, West and Northern parts of the country.

Together, we seek to know Christ, walk in His ways, serve His purposes and help others discover the fullness of life found in Him.

A people

We are more than an organisation. We are a people.

A people who have responded to the call of Jesus Christ. A people who desire to know Him, become like Him and make Him known.

We are a Band of Disciples: walking together in faith, growing in the Word, serving one another, reaching our communities and being equipped to carry the Gospel to the nations.

Our heart is discipleship. We long to see people encounter Jesus, become established in Him, discover their God given identity as sons of God, and become disciples who themselves make disciples.

What discipleship looks like here

Four movements of one journey

Nobody arrives at the end of this on the day they begin. It is a road walked together.

  1. 01

    Encounter Jesus

Everything begins with meeting Christ. Not an idea about Him, but Him.

  2. 02

    Become established

Rooted in the Word, in prayer and in the ordinary life of the local church.

  3. 03

    Discover your identity

Knowing who you are as a son of God, and what He has given you to carry.

  4. 04

    Be sent

Disciples raised, equipped and strengthened, maturing into sons who can be sent.

Our call

Go and make disciples

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus gave His disciples a clear commission, and it remains at the heart of who we are. We believe the Gospel is not simply something to hear. It is a life to be lived.

We are called to follow Jesus, obey His Word, love people, serve others and participate in His mission.

Our life together

Discipleship is a journey

Whether through the local church, missions, education, practical work or community life, our desire is to see Christ formed in people and His purposes established in our generation.

  • We learn together

In the Word, and from one another.

  • We pray together

    Seeking God for our generation.

  • We serve together

In the church and in our communities.

  • We grow together

Christ formed in us, step by step.

  • We go together

Sent across Uganda and to the nations.

An apostolic ministry

Sent ones, across Uganda and beyond

Our apostolic ministry in Uganda stretches into every corner of the country, and we are part of a growing family of disciples and churches across the nations.

  • South
  • East
  • West
  • Northern

And beyond our borders

The nations

The commission that gathered us reaches past Uganda. We walk with disciples and churches in other nations, sending and receiving, so that what has been entrusted to us is carried further than we could carry it alone.

In the community

A church with its doors open

Much of what happens among us never reaches a programme sheet. Meals shared after a gathering, plates washed by whoever is nearest, families welcomed at the gate, children fed and looked after. This is not the overflow of the ministry. It is the ministry.

We serve one another and reach our communities because that is what disciples do, and because it is where character is formed.

Our approach to leadership

Leadership is fundamentally about serving

Jesus modelled servant leadership, and we desire our leadership to reflect His example. Our aim is not simply to lead people, but to equip people, helping disciples discover their gifts, grow in maturity and step into their God given calling.

Meet our team
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-12
